Miina
Miina is a Michif word, the language of my people, the Métis of Canada, and it means again. I chose it because that single word holds everything I wanted this brand to stand for: a second look, a second chance, a warm welcome back to materials that already have a life of their own.

I started Miina Goods with my daughter, Widlene, on a belief we both hold: that beauty doesn't need a blank slate to begin. The materials are already out there. They're sitting in warehouses, moving through supply chains, passing through makers' hands. What they're waiting for is someone willing to look twice and say, "hello, again".
As a Métis woman, reclaiming what's already here and giving it new worth isn't just good business to me. It's close to how I was raised to see the world. Nothing is only waste. Everything has another chapter in it, if someone's willing to find it.
The bridge we're building
That's the bridge we are building: between premium gifting and real accountability. Every piece we make starts with something already in circulation and is given a new purpose, reimagined into a gift worthy of the people and the moments it's meant to celebrate.

Beauty and responsibility aren't opposites we balance, or a trade-off we accept. For us, they're the same design principle, working together from the start.
